Jenny Wei, Senior Manager

Jenny Wei is a senior manager of the Ernst & Young Metropolitan New York Area Risk Advisory Services. She has considerable exposure to and involvement with a variety of audits/activities and special projects in advertising, retail, technology, and health care industries. Her audit experience includes internal controls, operational efficiencies, Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance, Japanese version of 404 compliance, operational policies and procedures, financial reporting, and contract compliance. She is a certified public accountant and a fraud examiner.

Jenny’s clients include AOL Time Warner, Sony Corporation of America, General Electric, Sun Chemical Corporation, Mitsui & Co., NYK Group Americas, Polo Ralph Lauren, Thomson Corporation, MPEG LA, Monster Worldwide, Inc., Westwood One, Amgen, Bristol Myers-Squibb, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Sanofi Aventis, Takeda Pharmaceutical, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, and Yale University.

She has assisted clients to meet the requirements of Section 404 Sarbanes-Oxley Act and Japanese version of Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 404. This included performing risk assessment, identifying significant accounts, understanding and documenting the flows of transactions and controls, testing of specific controls, and providing findings and recommendations for those transaction flows and controls.

She has written an article on Japanese version of Sarbanes-Oxley Act 404 which was published in the Trusted Professional, a publication of the NY State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Prior to joining Ernst & Young, Jenny served as controller of a hospital system, evaluating general accounting and patient accounting process, reviewing and presenting statistical reports and monthly financial statements to the board, preparing annual operating and capital budgets, establishing policies, procedures and programs to ensure an effective accounting system and collaborating with financial auditors and Medicare and Medicaid auditors.
